This whole week and last week was chaotic...it's a wonder why I'm still sane.
It's always the same last- min -then- give- me work routine.
Then there's the tons of certificates I must finish printing in 2 days.
And the School Cockpit loved adding more oil to fire with its "intelligence".
Mr Meyer who sits besides me said he was impressed how terribly calm
I was becoz I was so silent then when he turned his head I'm there
and the next I'm gone.
Hahaha, my headphones and my Nightwish Cd helped me keep my sanity intact.

The first thing I did was cut my hair becoz I think I looked like a mad woman.
When I wore contacts the next day,everyone did not recognized me.
Thought I was some rude student barging into the office and
sitting on my colleague's chair.
Yes!! I looked young again.(>w<)

Went to the Japanese Summer Fest at the Jap School.
Now I've learned to go earlier next time.
Me ,Gab and her friend Benjamin went at 6pm
and the queue was super long and finally the tickets were sold out.
So we went in w/o food coupons...meaning no dinner.
Sheer torture...when u see Yakitori and bentos....sighz
Didn't manage to catch Guru but we spotted Xingyong,yey!
My XY-initial counterpart...(-_-''')

And lucky my fav Sat variety show was no on today coz the next episode will
be S.H.E as guests.

BitTorrent Anime Downloaders Identified,
$3500 Bill in the Mail- extracted from Torrentfreak
A company that distributes Japanese animated cartoons has tracked down thousands of BitTorrent users it accuses of breaching their copyrights and has successfully forced their ISPs to reveal their identities. Next step - threatening letters: “Pay Us $3,500 or Else”

Odex Pt. Ltd is a Singapore-based company that distributes anime in South East Asia.
Created in 1998 it started distributing anime in 2000, later with titles such as Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, Mobile Suit Gundam and Chrono Crusade.
In 2007 a decision was made in the company to start targeting people who share their material via BitTorrent after they claimed their sales had dropped 60-70 percent in just 2 years. After using a tracking system to collect the IP addresses of sharers, they have successfully forced StarHub - an internet service provider - to reveal the identities of 1000 BitTorrent users they accuse of breaching their copyrights. It had previously forced the ISP SingNet to reveal its customers details.
In all fairness, StarHub did put up a fight to keep the privacy of its users but it was little use. According to StarHub spokesman Michael Sim, although the company originally said they had “an obligation to protect our customers’ information”,
the pressure from the courts was too great.
A court order against StarHub was obtained in a closed chamber session in the Subordinate Court which forces them to hand over their customer’s details.
“In the instance of Odex,” said Sim, “they have satisfied the court of their need for the information. As such, we will comply with the court order”
The next step for Odex is a familiar one to file-sharers: they will use the list of names that StarHub supplies to send them threatening letters(pdf) declaring that they’ve been caught sharing anime, such as the hugely popular ‘Bleach’, and that the only alternative to being dragged through the courts, is to pay a $3000-plus ‘fine’.
Not that they’ll have much time to think about the next step -
Odex gives around 9 days for a response before it threatens legal action.
According to Stephen Sing (a director of Odex) the “downloading situation”
in Singapore is very bad: “We have engaged companies to track illegal
downloads in Singapore, and ratio-wise, we’re actually right up there
in the illegal downloads in the world, in terms of Japanese animation.”
Interestingly, Stephen Sing is also a director of the AVPAS -
Anti Video Piracy Association of Singapore and has become very, very unpopular.
Just after the Odex anti-BitTorrent campaign began, Mr Sing made the mistake of using an online forum to joke about how many sharers he was taking action against,
and the guys over at HardwareZone caught him at it,
via their dedicated (Official) Anti-Odex Club.
Mr Sing has been dubbed ‘the most hated main in Singapore’s anime community’,
with anime fans putting up his photographs and personal information onto the internet,
making wanted posters of him, posting pictures of his wife on the internet,
threatening him with violence and promising to set fire to his house.
At this point, Sing called in the police.
Next ISP on the Odex hit-list is Pacific Internet -
if they win, that’s another 1000 BitTorrent users about to get
threatening letters and demands for $3000 - thats 3000 users in total.
Should everyone pay up, Odex stands to collect a massive $9 million.
No wonder the death-threats didn’t deter Mr Sing.
I say:
"Well screw him! Even though I have never downloaded anime before
(I buy mine from across the causeway and it's not illegal!),
I will definitely be supporting the Anti-Odex movement
I'm not trying to say downloading illegal anime is right but fining people
and earning millions from it and yet providing us with lousy
and outdated quality and yet super expensive anime??! It is absurd."

The doc said I'm resistance to antibiotics...
I had 6 different kinds of medicine...*shudders
I gotta bring work back home though as time is running out
Arggghh...
Still, working at home seemed so much better than
the freezing ,unventilated staff room.
Stuffy nose blocks my ears...nyaaaa~
Had dinner with my bro at PS,went to the arcade and
my bro got chased out even though
I brought a t shirt and wax for him to change out.
Either arcade rules are pretty strict nowadays or
that guy had a bone to pick with my bro.
He definitely saw me sticking to my bro,can't he close an eye?
All because 2 uncles were hogging the Mario Kart
and we were waiting...stupid uncles...
why play Mario Kart?!Initial D too cool for u?
We went home, stopping to get tomato soup
from Saybons(if I didn't spell wrongly).
And there was this really good-looking guy serving ,
so dashing he doesn't seemed normal...err....(o_0)
And what do u know,my bro made me order the soup.
When asked regular? or large?,I looked damn blur,and
I was fumbling for the coins..then I dropped the coins!!!
And that guy was so ruddy polite...I bet when he put the change into my hand
I almost died....Nah...
The first thing me and my bro said when we left :
"That guy damn handsome sia!!!"
So if my bro agrees that he's good-looking,
it's not just me ogling at every other guy hor...
Not my type anyway...bleut=p

Right after lunch,my whole body ached ,my eyes became heavy and I was freezing.I thought I was having msg overdose from that super ultra salty I-don't-think-it's-even-black-pepper-sauce steak.
Turns out I had a 38.7 degrees fever.
Funny how I got sick suddenly on the 1st of the lunar 7th month.

I never liked watching romantic movies,
I think it's a waste of money.
But for Jay Chou,even buying another ticket for my bro was worth it.
=D
Both of us went to watch 'Secret' this morning at Balestier.
With only 4 other people in the cinema,both of us were really
"shaking legs"inside,munching nachos loudly,and giggling at Jay's acting.
Okay,maybe saying giggling for my brother seemed abit gay.
Haha.
But yeah...we "can't stand" Jay getting cutesy and silly
in that show...haha.
In other words,I love it!(^_^)
It was a really good plot.
The piano numbers were superb.
Makes u wanna learn the piano and do that kind of stunts too.
Hah.

Just make sure our dad don't catch us having fun together...=x

The family is spending the day at home.
The parents chasing their rented HK drama.
The son trying to get his homework done.
The daughter reading her Harry Potter series backwards.
Soon after dinner,the family went back home.
The parents went back to continue their show.
The son got tired of studying and decided to get his sis to watch some videos.
The daughter thought it should be alright since he has a group study the next day
She will be at home to make sure he and his friends are studying.
And knowing her brother won't be able to do anything after dinner,she agreed.
Then the mum came.And she said to her son.
"Please go and study and stop following that girl's footsteps.
She is very wicked and useless.
She is not helping you at all.
She just wants to tempt you so you will fail really badly for your exams
then she will be satisfied that someone is worse than her.
She just wants to be better than you.
If her father sees what she is doing to you know,
he will definitely beat her to death.
And if you fail your exams,your father will also beat her
and the whole family will blame her for your downfall.
So please ignore that useless girl and go to your room."
Coincidentally the daughter was forcing herself to read the Harry Potter book
just then and the part she's reading is this:
"All this press attention seems to have inflated your already overlarge head,Potter,'
said Snape~~Harry did not answer.He knew Snape was trying to provoke him~~
and Snape went on~~'To me,you are nothing but a nasty little boy who
considers rules to be beneath him.'Harry's hand was shaking out of anger
but he kept his eyes down as though
couldn't hear what Snape was saying to him~~"

After all,she had been through this ordeal before.
Though stronger she is now,well...it's from her own flesh and blood after all...
She can only hope and pray for a miracle that her dear brother will
get through his exams.
She had done what she can,giving him her old school notes
that used to got her through,drawing up a schedule for him
so that he can have ample time to study and relax
like putting an hr a night before bedtime by writing down impt notes
into a notebook,writing makes it easier to remember and doing it before bed means
it will be the last thing he remember inside before sleeping
and a notebook means it's easier reading for him next time),
and printing the 'O' levels time-table for him
even before the students have it(she worked in a school you see.)
She can't don't know how to tutor him coz she's not really bright.
But she is willing to help if he ever approach her with questions.
But he misplaced everything she had given him.

A casual talk about the Simpsons movie we both had just watched ended up a full length preaching
from my brother being really sucky at school to
I'm pretty lousy as a sis who can't teach,
(how am I suppose to teach him when I'm no study-person myself
and yeaa, I'm not as clever and sensible blar blar blar),
and I only influence him so he cannot concentrate on his studies
to us not helping him keep the car clean to so on and so forth that have particulary no link to what we were talking at all.
Maybe u will said he's right,well,
Xinmin will know how my dad is like when I meant he can scold
until no link and unreasonable one since she "experienced" it before last time. =)
Yea,I know I should not tempted him with entertainment anymore.
Believe me people,I had stopped long ago.
Talking about the Simpsons show WAS NOT tempting him.
Besides we were in the car....(~0~)
Even my bro playing the guitar alone ok,but I join him by singing along,he will come and scold me.
